Fault Tolerant in Descriptor Linear Systems via Generalized Proportional-Integral Regulator/Observer

چکیده
condition 1131. This condition is exoressed in terms of definite LMI with no equality constraint, which is much more tractable and reliable in numerical computation than the existing conditions, that is, definite LMI with equality constraints or semidefinite, LMI. Finally an example with periodic U1 nonlinearities is included and shows that the faults (or UI) can he estimated and compensated while the stability and impulse free conditions of the closed loop UI-descriptor system can be guaranteed. Abstract: This paper presents a new and simple method to design a full RegulatoriObserver for linear timeinvariant (LTI) descriptor systems subject to unknown inputs (UI). Based on the proportional integral (PI) observer approach developed by [9], a new disturbance accommodation using a feedback of estimated state and disturbance in LTI descriptor systems is investigated. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the RegulatorPI-Observer are given and contrarily at [7] the U1 decoupled condition is not needed. An illustrative example is included. 2 PROBLEM FORMULATION Consider the following U1 descriptor system

A Robust Adaptive Observer-Based Time Varying Fault Estimation
This paper presents a new observer design methodology for a time varying actuator fault estimation. A new linear matrix inequality (LMI) design algorithm is developed to tackle the limitations (e.g. equality constraint and robustness problems) of the well known so called fast adaptive fault estimation observer (FAFE). The FAFE is capable of estimating a wide range of time-varying actuator fault...
متن کاملFault Tolerant Control for Nonlinear Systems Described by Takagi-sugeno Models
ABSTRACT: In this paper the problem of active fault tolerant control (FTC) in noisy systems is studied. The proposed FTC strategy is based on the known of the fault estimate and the error between the faulty system state and a reference system state. A proportional integral observer is used in order to estimate the state and the actuator faults. The obtained results are then extended to nonlinea...
متن کاملAn LPV Approach to Sensor Fault Diagnosis of Robotic Arm
One of the major challenges in robotic arms is to diagnosis sensor fault. To address this challenge, this paper presents an LPV approach. Initially, the dynamics of a two-link manipulator is modelled with a polytopic linear parameter varying structure and then by using a descriptor system approach and a robust design of a suitable unknown input observer by means of pole placement method along w...
متن کاملFault Tolerant Control Design For Takagi-Sugeno Nonlinear Systems
In this paper, a new actuator fault tolerant control strategy is proposed for nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno systems. The proposed control law uses the estimated fault and the error between the faulty system state and a reference system state. A proportional integral observer with unknown inputs is conceived in order to estimate simultaneously states and actuator faults. The problem of design of obser...
